Chef at Fosie Prison

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our primary goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, detention centers, and client transport.

Fosie Prison is located on the outskirts of Malmö and was built in 1986. Fosie is a security class 2 prison with capacity for 173 men, where approximately 300 employees and 10 managers manage, lead, and develop the operations. The operations are constantly changing and have been expanded several times over the years, including the establishment of places for particularly resource-intensive inmates (SRI) and a new modular building completed in 2023.
